Final Fantasy XIV announces its Endwalker expansion and its coming to PS5

Square Enix's MMO unveiled its next big DLC at an event (without fans on site of course). Other good news, Final Fantasy XIV will land on the new Sony console very soon.

It is therefore through a magnificent trailer well paced in synthetic images that the extension Endwalker for Final Fantasy XIV was presented this weekend. Before briefly discussing its content, let us specify that the DLC will be released this fall on consoles and PC. As for updates 5.5 and 6.0, they will arrive on April 13, 2021 and at the end of the year respectively.

A PS5 version on the way

Endwalker will offer two new jobs in the form of Sage (a healer) and melee DPS on which we are awaiting more details (a presentation is scheduled for May 15). Of course, a new scenario is on the program since the players will be able to experience the conclusion of the Hydaelyn and Zordiarche saga. Additional locations will be accessible such as the City of Radz-at-Han and the Frozen Region of Garlemald.

Finally, Final Fantasy XIV and its new expansion will soon take the plunge on PS5. The game will benefit from improved graphics, better resolution on the interface, faster loads and all in 4K with an increased framerate. An open beta is expected on PS5 on April 13, 2021.
