Metro Exodus on the way to the next-gen

Two years ago, Metro Exodus was launched on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Today, the developers promise an update to come, which will allow the game to take advantage of our new next-gen consoles.

Once the patch is applied, the game will run at 4K / 60 fps on both PS5 and Xbox Series X, with ray-tracing as a bonus. To this will be added loading times revised downwards, but also support for the DualSense controller, spatial sound or even 'improvements in the latency of the Xbox controller'. The PC version “Enhanced Edition” will have some additional bonuses, as shown in the table below.

Regarding the Xbox Series S, the developers explain: “Our goal is to achieve 1080p, while retaining the other advantages, specifically 60fps and fully ray-traced lighting throughout the game. '.

Obviously, this update will be offered for free to all players who have a PS4 or Xbox One copy of Metro Exodus. It remains to be seen when the latter will be available.
