... but that's another story for the studio's next games
The
technical limitations of the Xbox Series S may indeed pose serious
problems for the next games of 4A Games. Working on a new engine cut out
for new technologies, it is hampered by the performance of the GPU of
the small console.
“RAM is not an issue for us right now, but GPU
performance presents serious challenges for our future titles. Our
current rendering technology is designed for 4K at 60 fps. Making any
concession will require us to carry out extremely costly calculations
that risk further degrading performance, ”the Ukrainian studio told
Wccftech.
Remember that 4A Games is currently working not only on
an improved version of Metro Exodus, but also on a multiplayer spin-off
of the license and on a brand new franchise. There is no doubt that we
will know more once the new generation Metro Exodus is released, in
2021.
